The last five years have been difficult for me since COVID, in fact downright miserable at times. Caring for my partner during COVID through serious illnesses, along with increasing sky high rents for a flat that should have been my dream home and was anything but, only to loose a twenty year relationship took their toll heavily,along with the pit falls of horse ownership I've been a freelance groom almost as long as a model, but I can safely say the last three years have been the worst and I have little faith or trust in working with horses any more. Add complete burnout to that, for editing, travelling or researching and the constant exhaustion from working endless hours for others while moving your life in your car, and a couple of awful shoots, one in my new home, and in my head I was done modelling.

This shoot was an absolute bucket list shoot for me, but also one of the most challenging. It came at the end of a gruelling tour round Yorkshire, Llanberris, and Chester where the weather threw all it could at us and we were both shattered to say the least, and the light was a challenge through out. But who would pass up the chance to shoot at the incredible Woolton Hall with a guided tour from it's wonderful caretaker!

Considering this is Steve's first ever set in an abandoned building I was blown away with these and for Steve to finally shoot in a derelict building! 

I had the pleasure of shooting again with Pete Costen on another fantastic shoot at this wonderful location organised by Simon Cook at Unique Photoshoots. My second visit back here I was over the moon to discover Pete had brought not only some awesome flying overalls to go with the planes and helicopters but an epic flying hat and goggles. The challenge was on to make them look hot and I think we suceeded! Many more wonderful images to come from this shoot but this was my favourite set of the day.

On this particular day we decided last minute not to risk newly found locationsthe night before, and head back to the new pub we had found. Sadly on arriving it was obvious the board fairies had been and we def weren't getting on on this particular day. Thankfully we had a back up planned with the other pub, and I had always seen this dress making for a stunning set against this wall with the colours, and it didn't disappoint. More to come from this daybut it's nice to share some fashion work for a change!

It's always a pleasure to work with Colin and despite planning to work at home, it was a beautiful day and we headed out instead to make the most of it. The Surrey Hills are stunning in the sunshine and the locations never let me down here!

This seems like a very fitting opening blog post as this was a very special shoot with a very much loved prop and a wonderful story behind it!
